This Week’s Classroom Corner

This week’s Classroom Corner highlights Ms. Keaik’s Pre-School Classroom

In Mrs. Keaik’s preschool SXI classroom we are working on recognizing the main character in a story. We have featured two books so far including Bear Snores On and Green Eggs and Ham. We also feature a letter and a number of the month to celebrate. For this month we are learning the letter E and the number 4. Lastly, we are focusing on making patterns using the number four.  We have lots of songs and fun activities and crafts that makes number and letter recognition fun. Of course, being February, we have also had a great time with Valentine’s day crafts and books.   5292B4C5-F137-4A25-A38A-065AEBA791AF196D90C8-F2F9-44A0-8278-DDA0FE2C000F

One of our Howe School initiatives this year has been to improve communication between our students, staff, and families.  Since the beginning of the school year, a committee of teachers have been meeting to brainstorm and implement ways to improve communication both in the building and between home and school.  As a result of their work, the communication committee has decided to highlight classroom activities on the blog in a section called “Classroom Corner”.  Throughout the year, every classroom teacher will each take turns highlighting their classroom.  We hope you enjoy reading about the amazing things happening in our school!
