Today, our district received a change in quarantine period from the health department. Given the increase in positive cases and the problems the variants are causing (variant B.1.1.7 is now the prominent virus in Michigan)- Wayne County Health Dept has issued a change in guidance.
A close contact will now be required to quarantine for 14 days from the last date of contact from the positive person.
A quarantine can be avoided:
- if a person is fully vaccinated (at least 2 weeks past their final dose of vaccine) OR
- if they have a documented, PCR positive Covid test in the last 5 months.
A 10-day sick isolation still remains for those who have tested positive for covid.
Thank you for your continued support and communication to keep our school community healthy!
