Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed a very happy and healthy holiday break. I would also like to take a moment to thank you for the many generous gifts, holiday wishes, and delicious treats. They all really helped to fill my heart with happiness this holiday season.
As we transition back into school I wanted to share a few important reminders:
Pick-Up Procedures: When picking up students we ask that you stay in or near your vehicles until your children are dismissed. Once children are dismissed, you can help them cross to your vehicles, but it is important to return to your cars quickly and safely exit the parking lot. Please do not leave your vehicles parked in the pick-up line. Doing this makes it difficult for traffic to flow and creates dangerous situations when trying to get around them. If you need to sign out a preschool student, please use a parking spot or remain in your vehicle until you can safely park to sign them out. Please be sure to leave a lane open for our preschool parents to get into the parking spaces. Leaving unattended vehicles in the driveway creates many issues with traffic flow in our parking lot and on Ann Arbor Trail. A typical dismissal takes between 5-10 minutes, please be patient and considerate of those around you as safety must always be the priority.
Recess: Our children have outdoor recess daily as long as the temperature (with wind chill) is at least 20 degrees or warmer and it is not raining. Please make sure your child is prepared to be outside for 20-30 minutes. Hats, gloves, and warm coats help to keep them warm and safe outside. If we get snow, students will also need to have boots and snow pants to keep their feet and legs dry.
Extended Day Interventions will begin next week for students in the Montessori Program. These programs are by invitation only based on academic performance and teacher recommendation. Letters will be sent out this week for students who have been recommended.

Monday, January 23- Half Day of School ( Special Ed Dismissal 11:30 and Montessori Dismissal 12:05)
Tuesday, January 24- Montessori Application Window for 2023-2024 will open for new students and new siblings. Applications will be on the website or available in the office.
