All Dearborn Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Weather reports for tonight and into Wednesday morning are forecasting temperatures in the single digits and windchill temperatures will get to a sustained level approaching minus 20 degrees.
School closures are done to help ensure the safety of staff, students, and the community. The decision is not taken lightly as we have a limited number of “snow days” and several more weeks of winter weather ahead. Snow, cold, ice, power outages, and other events are all factors that can create the need for a school closure.
Again, please remember to dress appropriately when venturing outside in severe cold.
