The Dearborn School District has been awarded grant money to expand the Community in Schools program in the district. Community in Schools is a successful program that several of our Dearborn Schools have had for many years. The goal of this program is to form a partnership between the schools and community resources to help our students to grow academically, socially, and as a whole child. As part of this program, we are fortunate to have a full-time Student Service Coordinator who will be part of our school community. Our coordinator, Sparkle Williams joined us this week and will remain with us through the next school year as well. Ms. Sparkle is working closely with our school community to determine the best ways to support our students. We are blessed to welcome her to our school community and look forward to working together with her!
