Howe Montessori & Center Based Education School operates two center-based programs supported by Wayne RESA.

- Severe Cognitive Impairment
Currently, there are nine different classrooms that support age ranges from 3 through 26. Students are supported in the classroom and receive a continuum of services that include nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work services, and speech services. Students also receive services from mobility and orientation specialists, psychologists, and teacher consultants. In addition to services provided within the school our staff works collaboratively with outside agencies to ensure that students receive the best possible care.
Our programs focus on academics and life skills. In addition to following the Essential Elements, teachers have access to and utilize the Unique Learning System and News-2-You.
Staff is trained in CPI and the MOVE program. High-tech and low-tech communication devices are incorporated in all aspects of the day. We also take every measure to include students in the Montessori program when appropriate.
